Josh Ottum

Josh Ottum is the kind of guy you bring home to your parents. He's soft-spoken, incredibly nice, and a great musician to boot. We first heard about him through our good buddy Mike Manning over at Mill Pond Records. At the time, Josh was busy taking Germany by storm, touring in support of his full length record Like the Season, which was released on the German indie label Tapete. Josh loved the idea of coming out to Montana to relax, play an intimate show, and record as soon as he returned stateside. He showed up from Seattle with a few tunes he had worked out on his computer, which we dissected and recreated in the studio. Enjoy.

He was very enthusiastic, and put the word out about this “new studio project” in Montana to some of his fellow musicians. He had the interest and as we got closer to the session, the band was lined... read more >
