We had already gotten a taste of CarCrashLander from their participation in the Erick Messler sessions. In between recording Erick’s songs, Cory and Brian played some of their own compositions, which I personally felt were very strong. Their control of dynamics and musical imaginations were some of finest I’d worked with. After some touring and an album release, CarCrashLander decided that they would make the trek out to SnowGhost to do their very own, official session, with six new songs. As an added bonus, Jess Wright - not only Brian’s wife but a fantastic woodwind musician - would accompany them on this trip.
